Habiendo sido Todorov uno de los principales representan tes y difusores del estructuralismo en Europa, es normal que abra este libro explicando el porqué de su apuesta inicial y los términos de su evolución posterior

Presencia y edad de vulcaniras en el Jurásico del Norte de Valencia (Cordillera Ibérica, España)

Se da cuenta en este trabajo de la presencia de rocas volcánicas, intercaladas en las series carbonatadas del Jurásico del norte de la provincia de Valencia (región de Alcublas), cuya edad ha podido ser determinada como Bajociense inferior. El hecho de que exista vulcanismo de edad similar en gran parte de las codilleras Béticas(subbético), sugiere la existencia de una fase de distensión con marcada amplitud durante los primeros tiempos del Jurásico medio. Por otra parte, las posibles emanaciones de sílice, acompañadas del proceso volcánico, pudieron ser unas de las causantes principales de la presencia ide nódulos de sílex en el Bajociense de una amplia región.Peer reviewe

Sensitivity analysis of impact model for road freight by the increase in the use of larger trucks in Spain

This study develops an impact model for road freight transport and aims to analyse the sensitivity of the results to the model parameters. Scenarios are simulated to study the effect of this model on road freight transport operations. The model and the methodology are applied to the sampling data from the permanent road freight survey of the Spanish Ministry of Transport. According to the results, the optimum parameter values or ranges are recommended, and the assumptions involved in the impact estimates are justified. Finally, the model is also proposed to apply and extended to a large logistic network. Estimates and projections presented in this study are based on the level of shift of goods for the larger trucks, the modal shift from the railway, and the elasticity demand for road freight transport as a result of lower transport operation costs. The results of this study show that, considering the effects of induced truck traffic and the shift of goods from rail to road, increasing the weight limits for trucks produces slight benefits

Georreferencias de la planimetría e imágenes digitales en Arqueología: Aplicación en la necrópolis de "La Cruz del Negro" (Carmona, Sevilla)

Partiendo de los estudios realizados en la necrópolis tartésica de la "Cruz del Negro" se expone la aplicación ala investigación arqueológica de los principios teóricos básicos para georreferenciar elementos espaciales e imágenes digitales. Se muestran las correcciones geométricas efectuadas sobre el registro planimétrico del lugar desde las primeras intervenciones hasta las últimas prospecciones magnéticas.From the studies accomplished in the "Cruz del Negro" tartesian burial site, the application to the archaeological research of the basic theoretical principles necessary for geo-referencing spatial elements and digital images is exposed. The geometric corrections made on the plannimetric record of the site from the first interventions up to the last magnetic surveys are shown

Existence and uniqueness of limit cycles for generalized -Laplacian Liénard equations

Since the first half of the 20th century, many papers have appeared providing existence and uniqueness conditions for limit cycles of Li'enard equations. In this paper we extend some of these results for the case of the generalized ϕ-Laplacian Liénard equation, (ϕ(x'))' + f(x)ψ(x') + g(x) = 0. This generalization appears when derivations of the equation different from the classical one are considered. In particular, the relativistic van der Pol equation, [x'/p1 − (x'/c)2]'+ µ(x2 − 1)x' + x = 0, has a unique periodic orbit when µ 6= 0

Lupinus mariae-josephii (Leguminosae) en la comarca de Camp de Turia (Valencia)

Se aporta para la comarca valenciana de Camp de Túria una nueva población de Lupinus mariae-josephae (Leguminosae), especie endémica de la Comunidad Valenciana (España), catalogada como Vulnerable en el Catálogo Valenciano de Especies de Flora Amenazadas. La población se localiza en el término municipal de Riba-roja de Túria y representa hasta el momento la más septentrional de su área de distribución.A new population of Lupinus mariae-josephae (Leguminosae) from Camp de Túria region is provided. This species is an endemic plant of Valencian Community (Spain) and it is listed as Vulnerable in the Valencian Catalog of Threatened Plant Species. This population is located in Riba-roja de Túria and constitutes the most northern of this species
